The girls’ soccer team’s season ended October 25 with a loss in the first round of district playoffs to Downingtown West.

The Rams, led by seniors Juliet Milani (captain), Ella Milani (captain), Nadine Horneck, Amanda Costa, Carly Harad, Sarah Root, and Marlee Zales, finished the season with a record of 9 wins, 6 losses, and 1 tie. The Rams finished in fifth place in the Central League.

One of the highlights of the season was defeating Lower Merion for the first time in the program’s history, with a decisive 3-0 win.

The seniors also played an important role in leading Harriton to accomplish new feats throughout their careers, including beating consistently strong teams like Conestoga for the first time and being the first Harriton girls’ soccer team to win a district playoff game.

“Throughout the entire season, whether we were winning or losing, there was such a special vibe. We worked hard for each other and I think that’s what allowed us to be successful. I’m really grateful to the team for such an amazing four years,” captain Juliet Milani said,

While the team will be losing a great senior class, the Rams look to continue its success with young players stepping up. Junior Morgan Rees broke the Harriton record for total goals scored, and the team set a new record for team goals scored.

With a strong group of underclassmen, the Rams seem poised for future success in the Central League and beyond.
