Ram of the Week: Felix Serlin!

Ram of the Week: Felix Serlin!

There are countless faces that pass us by at school, most of whom we know only from their Facebook page or a fleeting interaction. Many of these students go unrecognized by their classmates for their contributions in making Harriton the fantastic school that it is.

Felix Serlin is one of these students that should be recognized for his positive impact on our school. So what makes Felix such an outstanding member of the Harriton Community? Maybe it is the fact that he is a boy genius who not only is years ahead in math but participates in Science Olympiad, Physics Olympics, and Science Club.

Or maybe it is his superstar skills on the varsity soccer team? Just recently, Felix clinched a win against the Radnor soccer team in overtime sending the entire Herd, decked out in black attire and face paint, onto the boy’s soccer field to revel in a victory against the infamously talented team.

Felix was able to bring together an entire school community with his actions, helping our school improve for the better. There is no one reason for Felix’s greatness. It is the culmination of all of his attributes and actions that make Felix worthy of the the unsung student title.

Harriton Banner: What was your favorite goal that you’ve scored in soccer this year?

Felix Serlin: The one against Radnor. It was the most important one and it capped off a comeback from two goals down with five minutes left, which was exciting.

HB: If you could marry one person in this school, who would it be?

FS: I’ll go with Chris Fulton.

HB: What is something you like about being a part of the boy’s soccer team?

FS: It’s a really strong community and you effortlessly make a lot of friends from it.

HB: Awesome. Celebrity crush?

FS: I don’t have one!

HB: Okay. Favorite moment from your life so far?

FS: Favorite moment? I’ll go with when I was born. Yeah, that was a good moment.

HB: If you could choose one superpower, what would it be?

FS: The ability to learn anything really quickly.

HB: Wait…do you not already have that ability? What math class are you in again?

FS: Right now I’m taking Senior Seminar.

HB: Impressive. Who is your idol?

FS: My idol? Uh…I’d have to go with my brother.

HB: Aw!

FS: …In college. I have a brother that graduated.

HB: Wait, not your twin brother?

FS: No, not my twin brother. He’s awful.

HB: On that note; how do you feel about having a twin brother?

FS: I think it’s awesome. Before it was horrible though. I went to a smaller school and he was around too much. Now, I just really like having him as a friend I can talk to all the time.

HB: Any final remarks?

FS: Learn from everything and have fun.
