Harriton Principal Steven Kline to Retire

On January 19, 2012 a key part of the Harriton community, the principal Steven Kline, announced his upcoming retirement. In a statement, Mr. Kline explained that over the past seven years Harriton has meant a lot to him: “I treasure the relationships and experiences I have had here and am exceptionally proud of what we have accomplished together.” Mr. Kline stated that he was thankful for all that has happened, and proud of all the changes that Harriton has gone through and the improvements that he has seen made.

Mr. Kline related that the primary reason for his retirement was his family, saying that he wants to be there more, and be able to spend more time with his wife, two daughters, and parents. Though Mr. Kline is due for retirement next January, he will be retiring at the end of this year in June, 2012: “Doing so in June will allow the District to bring someone on board before the beginning of next school year, which I believe is in the best interest of the school community.” Mr. Kline will still be involved in administrative work for District-level projects through next January.

On his retirement Mr. Kline commented: “I will miss everyone, but I will look back with great pride on an incredible seven years of progress and change, innovation and excellence.”
