“Parks & Recreation” Review: “Leslie vs. April”

Parks+%26+Recreation+Review%3A+Leslie+vs.+April

This week’s episode starts off with Ben and Leslie in Washington before their return home to Pawnee, where Leslie is surprised with a meeting with Vice President Joe Biden. Ben decides to go back to accounting work, and Leslie is pleased when April shows passion for her desire to build a new dog park in Pawnee.

As it turns out, the dog park appears to be best suited to be built on lot 48, the lot behind Ann Perkins’ house. Leslie is upset with April because Leslie has claimed “dibs” on the lot in question, as seen in the first episode of the show. The feuding women must band together when Councilman Jamm puts in a decidedly worse bid for what should be done with the land.

Tom Haverford needs help starting his new clothing rental company, but has trouble finding sponsors. When Ben tries to help him, Ben receives multiple job offers, much to Tom’s chagrin.

Andy’s computer is stolen from his desk and he launches a campaign to find it. However, he learns that policework isn’t as exciting as he thinks it is.

Funny bits:

  • Ouran’s human farm
  • Distraction waffles
  • Andy taking his shirt off when he gets upset
  • Leslie’s reaction to Joe Biden, seen below.
