On February 16th, the Harriton girls’ basketball season came to an end with a first round loss in districts. Matched against a higher-seeded Downingtown East High School, the Rams were not able to add another win to a great season as they lost by a score of 56-39.

The Rams, led by seniors Olivia Tevis, Haley Morris, Sophia Kontra, and Gabrielle Kontra, finished with a 12-7 record overall.

The Rams went 10-6 in Central League play, putting them in fourth place in the Central League regular season standings.  The girls’ basketball team ultimately made it to the semi-finals of the Central League playoffs before losing to Garnet Valley.

Optimism surrounds this girls’ basketball squad, however, as junior Sophie Grady was named to the first team All Central League, and freshman Alana Swift received an honorable mention for All Central League.

The Rams will look to continue to improve and to bring more positive results in the 2016-2017 season.
