Homeland: Season 3 Premiere
Although it is easy to get lost in the academic world of the high-achieving Lower Merion School District, it’s important to find a little relaxation time at some point or another. Contrary to popular belief, some of the Harriton Student Body actually sits down for an hour or so to watch a little primetime television after they have decided they have studied long enough. When searching for something to watch, look no further than to Showtime’s Homeland, a ridiculously well made, entertaining, and none-the-less intellectually enlightening show. Homeland follows an inside mission to take down Abu Nazir, the targeted “bad guy” and lead terrorist of an attack against America. This plot is paralleled by the investigation of a rather “sketchy” character of whom no one really knows the truth about: ex-P.O.W, Nicholas Brody.
Homeland has been well received by critics and audiences alike. Scoring a 8.5 out of 10 stars on IMDB.com (with professional critics as one third of the reviewers), the show has proved entertaining to a large group of people. For the premiere of Homeland’s third season, my entire family, including both of my parents and my fourteen-year-old brother, sat down to see what crazy plot twist would surprise us next. To describe the whole show would be nearly impossible, considering it’s absolutely filled with unpredictable moments and thought-provoking scenes. My recommendation is to use your hour or so of relaxation viewing the start of this incredible story’s new season. For those of you who are faithful watchers, you know the deal. Unfortunately, we have to wait until Sunday night to see what happens next.
