After watching the winter premiere of Pretty Little Liars, you probably felt frustrated. Unfortunately, one of the strongest couples on the show Caleb and Hannah broke up, leaving Hannah (along with millions of fans) with many unanswered questions.

Caleb had to go back to Ravenswood, and told Hannah it was too complicated. Fans who do not watch the Pretty Little Liars spinoff, Ravenswood, don’t know why Caleb broke up with Hannah. But I am here to shed some light on all your questions.  Warning: spoilers below!

In Ravenswood, Miranda — the girl who Hannah told Caleb to look after — died and has come back to life in the form of a ghost. She died in a bizarre accident that almost killed four other people, including Caleb. Caleb and the others learn that after every soldier, who has had a freak accident but doesn’t die, returns home from war, five kids die in Ravenswood. Even though Caleb and the others did not die that night, something out there is still trying to kill them.

Meanwhile, Miranda (or her ghost) is stuck in her Uncle’s house, where Caleb is living. He keeps her busy, and she encourages him to tell Hannah what has happened, but he doesn’t take her advice. Caleb and Miranda find out that long ago in Ravenswood there were two kids, named Caleb and Miranda, who were in love. But, they’re the same Caleb and Miranda!  (Yep, this show is utterly confusing.)  Once they learn that another version of them were in love, they feel a connection for one another. But don’t worry, Caleb and Hannah fans — Caleb makes it very clear he still loves Hannah!

One of the main reasons that Caleb broke up with Hannah was because if he told her about Miranda’s death and that something is trying to kill him and his friends, she would try to rescue him. But, he doesn’t want her to risk her life, and thinks it would be safer if he just broke it off with her.

In this Pretty Little Liars episode, Ezra also comes back into Aria’s life, wanting more than just a friendship. After learning that Ezra is “A,” we all feel scared for Aria. Ezra and Aria kiss and the show ends with many more unanswered questions. But, I’ll leave speculation up to you!
