“Museum”: An Interview with Emily Sinrod
HTC presents “Museum” this Thursday (November 16th), Friday and Saturday. The Banner interviewed Emily Sinrod to learn more about this exciting play.
HB: What is your role in the show?
ES: Assistant stage manager
HB: Is this your first time doing this?
ES: Yes, I’m normally on the stage as an actor, but this has opened my eyes to theatre through a different lens.
HB: Can you give us a short summary of the show?
ES: Museum is a fun quirky show that follows the lives of different characters as they enjoy interesting artwork. It’s fast paced, has witty humor and is overall a fun time. Set in Harriton’s black box, the all-around experience gives the audience the feeling of being inside the gallery with the actors.
HB: What has been your favorite part about being the assistant stage manager?
ES: It has been such a great experience learning about theatre from a directing standpoint and I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to bond with the cast.
HB: Who is your favorite character and why?
ES: The dynamic duos of Bob and Willard and Barbara and Barbara, because I’ve seen these characters grow over the process of creating the show and how they’ve polished their quick one liners. They are so funny and enjoyable to watch.
HB: What is the most compelling reason why people should see the show?
ES: It is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. The combination of our talented cast, interactive set and awesome lighting, sound and costumes has combined to create a memorable experience for the audience.
