Guide to Not Freaking Out Over AP/IB Exams

1. Do not save all of your studying for the night before. It may work in honors classes, but not in AP or IB. Your exam will contain information from the whole year, and you cannot cram for all of that knowledge in one night.

2. Find out the big-ticket items on your exam. Hitting the big topics is always the most important thing.

3. Take past exams for practice. Being comfortable with the format of the exam is a great start to getting a good score.

4. Work in study groups. Everyone has different strengths and weaknesses, and your classmates are often good resources for help in your weak areas.

5. Review test-taking strategies. Things like reading the questions carefully, annotating prompts or passages, and checking over to make sure you answered everything can make you feel more in control.

6. Sleep and eat well beforehand to be both mentally and physically prepared.

7. Be confident. You have worked and studied all year to get to this point, and you know more than you think you do.
