On February 11, 2013, Lower Merion police officer, Sean Quinn, was found dead inside of his police vehicle in the early morning. Investigation determined cause of death to be suicide from self-inflicted bullet wound. After serving for over 25 years as part of the police force, Quinn has become an integral part of the Lower Merion Community as a whole. Aside from being a hard working member of the police force, Officer Quinn was Lower Merion’s D.A.R.E. officer for over ten years; he educated many of the students at both Harriton and Lower Merion High School in their formative years. He touched the lives our our community, and we deeply feel the loss of this kind, caring man.
