Sam Beh’s first on-stage Dr. Harriton experience was getting picked up by 4 seniors, thrown into a chair, and having his hair mangled by his older brother. 2 years later, he’s back, better than ever, and ready to be the star of his own act.
Leevi: How would you describe the experience of being part of Dr. Harriton?
Sam: Stressful, but rewarding. A lot of effort gets put into just one show, especially as a contestant, but every time we do a rehearsal all the hard work feels well worth it.
Leevi: Why did you want to be part of Dr. Harriton?
Sam: My older brother was a part of Dr. Harriton and I got to be a part of his act, so I got first hand experience of its great community.
Leevi: What’s your favorite memory so far?
Sam: Doing my act in front of all the contestants/production team for the first time.
Leevi: What would you say is your all time favorite Dr. Harriton act?
Sam: Joey’s barbershop quartet.
Leevi: What do you think will make this year’s Dr. Harriton unique?
Sam: I think we have a really great group of people who have perfected their acts and talents.
Leevi: Could you share any funny rehearsal stories?
Sam: Nothing funny happens at rehearsal. It is all business.
Leevi: Do you think you’ll win? Who do you think will be your hardest competition?
Sam: I do not think I’ll win, and I’d say my hardest competition is probably Russel.
Leevi: If someone who is thinking of doing Dr. Harriton next year is reading this article, what advice would you give to them?
Sam: Put yourself out there.
Leevi: What do you think you will be most proud of when you look back on your senior year?
Sam: Getting through it.
Dr. Harriton is here on February 21st; this Friday! Get ready to show up and cheer on all contestants. I hope to see you there.
