You’ve probably heard of her family – the charming winner of Mr Harriton, the freshman at Yale, the captain of Ramlax, and the school treasurer. The Marks’. They are a powerhouse family if Harriton has ever seen one. So last year, the Marks’ took on the joint title of Ram of the Week.

Now, Sarah Marks is here, along with cousin Lizzie. It’s no surprise that Sarah fits right in with the legacy of her family. She is confident with who she is: smart and silly, kind and charming. Sarah is Ram of the Week because of that show stopping confidence. It’s something no one can fraud, and only few can pull off.

Sarah is a girl who can. And it’s fantastic.

HB: What’s your favorite family tradition?

Sarah: Either family dinners where Lizzie and I don’t talk to anyone, we just have personal conversations, or spelling out our names with our butts. It’s random.

HB: Care to elaborate?

Sarah: No, I don’t know my family! I don’t know who these people are!

HB: What’s one thing that surprised you when you got to Harriton this year?

Sarah: How easy it actually is. Just like, finding my way around. And why are some classes so much harder than others… It’s just like, what?

HB: What’s it like having so much of your family at school?

Sarah: It’s the most fun thing ever. People are like, “Are you a Marks? I knew it.” Especially having Lizzie in my grade, its so fun because we’ll always have each other. We never have any classes together, though. Siblings or twins can have classes together but cousins can’t. It’s a conspiracy.

HB: You will be the last Marks’ to graduate from Harriton. What’s the legacy you want to leave?

Sarah: Okay, so right now everyone loves us. I’m gonna make everyone hate us. I’m gonna tell lies…

HB: How do you make friends?

Sarah: I try to just be weird and if they don’t like me for being weird then I don’t want to be their friend. 

HB: What do you want to be when you grow up?

Sarah: Don’t ask me questions about future!

HB: Okay, so what’s your favorite class?

Sarah: Latin, because I like it as a thing, but I also really like the teacher. Not specifically this year but also math, I always like math.
