Boys Basketball Defeated by Conestoga

The Harriton Rams Boys Basketball team faced off against Conestoga on this past Saturday. The Rams got off to a quick start and went into halftime with a commanding 42-30 lead. However, with a momentum swing after halftime, Conestoga was able to erase the lead, tying the game at 51 points for the start of the fourth quarter. The Rams trailed 60-59 with 1:37 left and, as Conestoga was able to waste the clock, it did not look good for the Rams. Nevertheless, the Rams would find themselves with the ball, down three, with just over ten seconds remaining. The play of the game took place when Alex Shippen drove to the basket, absorbed the contact, and was still able to finish around the rim. Shippen capitalized on the and-one, evening up the game at 62 with just 9.8 seconds remaining. The Rams prepared for overtime, but with 1:11 left to play, Harriton found themselves down four. Unfortunately, they could not pull off the comeback and lost a hard-fought game to Central League rival Conestoga.
