Girls Lax Travels to Florida
On Thursday March 20th, Girls Lacrosse traveled to Vero Beach Florida to play the nation’s top teams, Vero Beach and McDonough. They flew in Thursday, rested up and prepared to play the number one team in the country, McDonough. They lost to McDonough 18-8, and to Vero Beach 16-10 the following night, in two extremely hard fought games. However, the girls feel optimistic that this was a learning experience and are looking forward to improving from these losses. They proved that they are still dominant in the Central League by beating Penncrest 16-2, with goals by Julia Marks, Maura Henderson, Laura Lasprogata, Annika Iyer, Katherine Talvacchia, and Alex Ladda. The girls also showed there chops in their overwhelming defeat over Marple Newtown. In other exciting news, the JV had its first win in 7 years! These up-and-comers are improving their skills so that someday they, too, will aid the varsity team in national-level competition. Go RAMLAX!
