Boys Lax Falls to Garnet Valley
On Tuesday 4/8, the Harriton Boys Lacrosse team faced off against Central League foe, Garnet Valley. Under the lights, the Rams knew that they were going to be involved in a physical battle from the very first whistle. After a highly competitive first quarter, the rams trailed 3-2. Unfortunately, they were unable to keep scoring at this pace, and the Rams fell to Garnet Valley by a score of 9-4. Dave Stewart, making a comeback to the field after missing the win against North Penn with an injury, made a spectacular return going for three goals in the game. Jack Veasey was also able to continue his hot hand from last game and found the back of the net on one shot.
Marc Margolis, a reserve attack-man for the Rams, has a unique perspective on the game watching from the sideline. He told The Banner this week in Marc’s ReMARCs that, “We came out a little flat, but we knew that we could play with this team [Garnet Valley]. They were not as good as everyone said they were. We put on a great second quarter run, but it wasn’t good enough. Despite the loss, we proved to ourselves, and the entire Central League, that we are a force to be reckoned with. The culture around Harriton Lacrosse is definitely changing and it was proved by this highly contested game against a great Central League foe.” The Rams look to continue their solid play against their next opponent: Ridley.
