Boys’ Soccer Beats Radnor

On Saturday September 20th, The Harriton boys soccer team defeated Radnor in an epic overtime showdown by a score of 4-3. After a win against the ranked Shipley Gators, the Rams looked to extend their winning streak.

Radnor got off to a quick start, scoring the first two goals of the game, but with a goal by Senior Kyle Gaeffke, the Rams went into the half down only by one. After another Kyle Gaeffke goal, the rams trailed 2-3, with 5 minutes left in regulation.

Determined not to lose, the Rams pressured the Radnor players and scored with 20 seconds left off a set play from midfield, attributed to Junior Felix Serlin.

Fed by the energy of the revitalized Herd, the Rams kept their hot streak alive in the first-to-score-wins overtime. The final strike occurred only a few minutes into overtime, when Felix found the back of the net for the second time, giving the Rams the 4-3 victory.

As The Herd stormed the field, the Harriton community rejoiced together, making for one of the most memorable sporting events in recent Harriton history.
