Rams Hockey Crushes Bonner for First Win of Season
The Harriton boys’ ice hockey team faced off against Bonner late last Thursday night hungry for a win; they were not disappointed. After overwhelming Bonner for three straight periods, the Rams dominated with a score of 8-3, outshooting Bonner 43-15.
With this victory, the Rams are 1-1, which is a great start for this team.
The most valuable players for the Rams were not the seasoned veterans, but rather the freshmen. Both Skyler Thomas and Will DeVerter had hat tricks (3 goals), and goalie Alex Krauss held down the Bonner offense, only allowing three goals the entire game.
It is clear that the Rams have some young talent they can count on, which will hopefully lead to success in other games.
Sophomore Nick Wert and junior Jacob Cicalese, each added a goal, which served to solidify Harriton’s dominance over Bonner. The Rams will surely use the next couple of weeks before their next game to ensure that they stay on top of their opponents.
