Boys Basketball Comes Up Short Against Acadamy Park
On Saturday, December 20, the Harriton Rams Boys Basketball team lost to the Academy Park Knights by a score of 66-55, in non-Central League play. The loss dropped the Rams to a still impressive 6-2 record for the season. Meanwhile, the visiting Knights continued their undefeated regular season, moving to 6-0.
Seniors Jordan Wright and Sam Schlichting filled the stat sheet in the game, each turning in impressive performances. Wright finished with 22 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 4 steals. Schlichting was dominant in the post, with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
The Rams started the game brilliantly, leading by 10 at the end of the first quarter. However, 35 turnovers plagued the home team, which led to easy buckets in transition for Academy Park. The Knights came back from the first quarter deficit, and led by 4 points at halftime. They then extended their lead to nine by the end of the third quarter.
While the Rams have lost two straight over the past few days, they have a key opportunity to bounce back against their Central League foe, the Ridley Raiders. Come join the Herd and support the Rams on Tuesday, December 23, at 7 PM!
