Rams Just Miss Against Stoga
On Tuesday, January 6, the Harriton Rams fell to the undefeated Conestoga Pioneers in a nail-biting thriller by a score of 49-48. Harriton’s record dropped to a solid 8-5 on the season. However, the Rams did a great job of stifling the Pioneers with their zone defense, giving Conestoga very few chances to convert on easy buckets in the paint.
Per usual, there were standout performances that led the Rams in their quest for victory. Senior captain Sam Schlichting has consistently played his part as a team leader and a vital part of the rotation. Against the Pioneers, Schlichting dropped 15 points, a team leading 5 rebounds, and 1 steal. Meanwhile, sophomore Will Esposto was able to stay neck and neck with Conestoga’s three-point shooters near the conclusion of the game, delivering a break out performance. Esposto finished with 12 points, 4 steals, 2 rebounds, and an assist.
The Rams will take on the Radnor Red Raiders away, at 7 PM, on Friday, January 9th. Come out and support the Rams as they look to improve to 9-5 against their crosstown rivals!
