Boys’ Tennis Recaps
Over the past couple of weeks, Harriton boys’ tennis has faced off against three different teams: Penncrest, Marple Newtown, and Conestoga, respectively. The Rams won comfortably 7-0 against Penncrest and Marple, while losing 5-2 to formidable powerhouse Conestoga.
While the matches against Penncrest and Marple speak for themselves, let’s take a closer look at the match against Conestoga.
Going into the matchup with Conestoga, the Rams knew the Pioneers would be a tough opponent. After all, they had just beaten the reigning state champion (Lower Merion Aces) 4-3. Key wins in this match came from Isaac Goldenberg and Etan Ginsberg, at #1 and #3 singles, respectively. While the other matches were fought hard, the Rams ultimately came up short.
This week, the Rams took on Garnet Valley on Monday, April 11, at home and lost 3-4. On April 12, they made up for it with a 7-0 win against Ridley, away. The team will finish the week with matches against Radnor on April 14 and Episcopal on April 15.
