This season, the Philadelphia Eagles finished with a record of seven wins and nine losses, good enough for fourth place in the NFC East division. While the Eagles did not meet many fans’ expectations, there were many bright spots that promise an exciting future.

Rookie quarterback Carson Wentz struggled during stretches of the season, but overall was very impressive. Wentz threw for 3782 yards and 16 touchdowns, while completing 62% of his passes.

Meanwhile, running back Ryan Mathews led the Eagles with 661 yards and eight touchdowns, running for 4.3 yards per carry. Tight end Zach Ertz led the team in receiving, amassing 816 yards and four touchdowns, becoming Wentz’s favorite target over the course of the season.

On the defensive side of the ball, linebacker Nigel Bradham finished with 102 tackles, while fellow linebacker Jordan Hicks added five interceptions.

Overall, the Eagles had a successful year in developing chemistry with the team’s new additions, while Coach Doug Pederson improved on last year’s record. Be sure to watch out for the Eagles next fall!
