To Succeed or Not to Succeed
Practically gift-wrapped and topped with a bow, the Harriton Help Center is a wondrous resource. Stocked with all the tools to create a successful student, it is a wonder more people don’t take advantage of its amenities. Perhaps the student body is not sufficiently informed, or maybe just does not want to ask for help, but, whatever the reason, it seems advisable that students make use of this resource. The Help Center is everything an aspiring student could wish for, providing all the tools and support imaginable.
The most obvious function of the Help Center is teacher support. Whether you were out sick or on a field trip, or perhaps drifted off into la-la land during class, there is a teacher available to help you understand any lesson you missed. With a variety of teachers, from Math to Art, from English to Science, help is never out of reach. Greeting you at the door, an ever-pleasant school aide can assist you in understanding the Help Center’s schedule. Find out when your teacher is present and when you can see them. If your schedules do not match, you can visit any other knowledgeable and eager teacher during a free, a study hall, or even a lunch.
Not only do teachers help out, but students do as well. Heard of the NHS Student Tutoring Program? If you need help and feel more comfortable working with a fellow Harriton pupil, you can contact one of the student tutors. Visit Ms. Ranson’s eBoard to apply for one. It is not a requirement to meet in the Help Center, but it is certainly an appropriate place to get together.
In addition to tutoring, the Help Center is a great place to get caught up. If you ever need to make up a test or quiz, the Help Center not only has the assessment in stock, it is a quiet place to complete your task. It is the perfect spot to hone in on your concentration and focus skills, as it feels like just another classroom. Also available are many of the worksheets and handouts your teachers distribute. Do not fret if you are lacking an important document and cannot get to your teacher. Chances are, the Help Center has got you covered.
Another perk of being in the Help Center is the technology. There is a printer and a copy machine located conveniently inside, not to mention the Tech Center just next door. Say you are writing a paper and your computer suddenly breaks down. No problem! Just take a few steps and a capable computer technician is there to assist you. Once the problem is solved, you can print your essay with the click of a button and a brief stroll to the printer.
The Help Center is a busy, bustling place crawling with freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Open all day long, any visiting student is bound to be successful. “The students who visit the Help Center are the ones doing well in school and succeeding in their classes,” shares Ms. Dwyer, the school aide who is in charge of the help center and who is there to guide you in the Help Center. Any visit is a productive one as the Help Center is brimming with people eager to lead you on the path to success. Plus, the services are free, unlike many expensive private tutors.
Whether this year is your starting gun, or the final lap of the race that is high school, the motivation to succeed is glowing inside each and every Harriton student. Do not deny that light its moment of glory. For some, school seems to come easily. Others demonstrate grit and will work their fingers to the bone for that A. The Help Center’s services assist all kinds of students in one way or another. Do not be left out of the circle! Visit the Help Center today to get help, provide help, or relieve some stress. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain, and if the Help Center’s involved, you can expect results. To succeed or not to succeed, that’s the real question.
