Getting to Know the Treasurer Candidates

It is that time of year again at Harriton High School, when a few students rise from the general population with ambitions to lead the school – or at least Student Council. As the already-spreading campaign posters suggest, some of these ambitious students have passed the primaries and are ready to show Harriton why they would be the best leaders. For Treasurer, we have one junior and one sophomore who you need to get to know. Each day this week, The Banner will be bringing you background information (extracurriculars, special talents, favorite foods, and fun facts) on nearly all of the candidates for each position.

Tristan Fogt

An avid supporter of Sushi Thursday, Tristan Fogt knows just what Harriton students like. Along with loving sushi, Tristan “treasures” our school, and will protect it with bravery, strength and his second-degree black belt. When he is not preparing for his upcoming test for a third-degree belt, he rows for varsity crew, captains the award-winning debate team and plays both the piano and guitar.

Will Marks

A three-sport athlete at Harriton, Will Marks has certainly made his mark on our school. Will plays on the varsity soccer and tennis teams, and is captain of the JV basketball team.  He is also president of the Latin Club, which recently won first place at Dickinson College’s Latin Festival.  Will can also speak with many accents, as he showed in his video for primaries. He is the seventh member of the Marks family to walk the halls of Harriton.

From president to sergeant-at-arms, The Banner has you covered on candidate information. Stay tuned on these interesting personalities through this week until the votes next Friday.
