Linvilla Orchards
Linvilla Orchards is the epitome of fall. Nestled in Media, Pennsylvania, Linvilla has hayrides, pumpkin patches, arts and crafts, and corn mazes, not to mention delectable fall food and drinks!
I drove out to Linvilla with several other members of the Harriton Theater Company. Although the weather didn’t look promising, it did not rain once while I was there. Whether you are in the corn maze anxiously following the footsteps of another walker, or waiting in the lengthy line for Linvilla’s famous “Apple Cider Donuts,” you take in the beauty of autumn and rural Philadelphia.
Among the array of food offered at Linvilla, my personal favorites are definitely the caramel apples that are sold in every possible combination of chocolate, caramel, sprinkles, and peanuts. The apple cider was sweet and kept me warm the whole time I waited in line with the others for lunch.
While there, you will notice that the majority of Linvilla is comprised of young children and families. Pumpkin picking is also offered here, with plenty of sizes to choose from. For the adventurer, there are two mazes: straw bale or cornfield. Additionally, Linvilla attracts many children to its hayride that concludes with an apple cider tasting and a bonfire with marshmallows for roasting.
If you are looking for a way to enjoy the end of fall and all the season has to offer, then Linvilla is the place for you!
