The Carrie Diaries: Season 2 Premiere

After a seemingly endless week of homework and tests, spend your Friday night relaxing and watch some TV. While flipping through the channels make sure not to scroll right past The Carrie Diaries on the CW.  Based on Candace Bushnell’s book of the same name, the show is a prequel to the HBO series Sex and the City.   This teen soap is a comic and carefree series.  The year is 1984, and Carrie Bradshaw is entering her senior year of high school. Although her family and friends have a big place in her heart, Carrie falls in love with what will become the most the most important thing in her life: Manhattan.

Although lacking the sense of satire found in the original HBO series, The Carrie Diaries is a fun and lighthearted teen show with fabulous actors, amazing clothes, and relatable relationships. It’s the perfect program to watch to help you forget about all of your troubles for an hour.  So sit back, relax, and watch how Carrie navigates through two completely different worlds: high school and the Big Apple. You’ll never want to leave the couch!
