Nobody Wants This, the rom-com series which has everyone buzzing, is back for its season two renewal, ready to give us all the adorable fall content that warms viewers’ hearts. Already within a week of its release, fans are thrilled about this series and are captivated by its wholesome moments, charming misadventures, and cozy romance. A perfect show for a fall-themed binge watch. During season one, the lovable characters gave the show its charm and success. Starring OC actor Adam Brody, and The Good Place actress Kristen Bell, the love story between Noah and Joanne is utterly adorable. Despite their chemistry, their journey navigating the religious differences between Judaism and Christianity shows viewers the imperfections and complications relationships can have. Along with balancing their religious differences, they balance their sense of humor, vulnerability, and genuine affection making their relationship raw, relatable, and a journey worth following.
Fans are excited for other beloved characters to return to the screen like Joanne’s sarcastic and witty sister Morgan, who seems to have gone on her own chaotic love journey. Along with her of course, there’s Noah’s playful and oblivious brother Sasha and his wife Esther, whose relationships are to receive more spotlight this season. And most importantly, there’s Noah’s mother Bina, who still seems to disapprove of Joanne because of her religious beliefs.
Along with old characters, there are exciting new characters like Adam Brody’s wife, Gossip Girl actress Leighton Meester, who will be starring in this season. Seth Rogan will also join season two. With such an incredible cast, it is easy to understand why the characters are so loved.
From the trailer, we see Noah and Joanne easing into being a couple and “entering out of the honeymoon stage” which indicates that along all the joyous, wholesome moments of being in a romantic relationship, new conflicts can occur. Based on the trailer, season two promises to showcase how Joanne and Noah’s lives blend together, not just with religion, but with family dynamics and friend groups as they go through the hardships of life and easing into adulthood.
As Noah, Joanne, and the rest of the cast navigate through adulthood, one thing is definitely clear this season: love is in the air!
