Oklahoma Prison Riot Injures Many

A prison riot broke out last Tuesday at the North Fork Correctional Facility of Sayre, Oklahoma. It is currently unclear what may have caused this riot, which occurred around noon. Over twenty inmates were injured and at least five had to be taken to a hospital to have injuries treated. A morgue was set up outside the prison but no deaths appear to have occurred. Oklahoma sent six highway patrol crews among sheriff’s deputies in an attempt to secure the prison. A video of the riot shows a multitude of inmates crawling out of a building as a group of police officers stands nearby, guns pointed at the mass.
