Around 5:20 PM last Friday, December 7, a 7.0-magnitude earthquake took place in Japan, centered off of the Miyagi prefecture.

Approximately 190 miles from Miyagi, in Tokyo, buildings swayed under the shocks. Following the quake, there were a series of tsunamis as high as three feet, but fortunately, there were no records of flooding.

Although no death’s resulted from this natural disaster, one person suffered from a serious injury, while many others had minor injuries.
