It is with great pleasure that the members of the Harriton Theater Company (HTC) bring you this year’s spring musical, She Loves Me. They have been hard at work for the past month rehearsing lines, preparing props and sets, learning music, and preparing to bring you a fantastic performance. Get ready for what will be the Company’s most romantic and comical show yet!

This 1930’s European musical will be performed in Harriton High School’s Auditorium on April 20th, 21st, and 22nd at 7:00 PM, with an additional 2:00 PM matinee on the 22nd. Get your tickets in advance at harritontheater.com/tickets or at the door. 

She Loves Me is the story of a small European parfumerie, Maraczek’s, and its many employees. As the story progresses, a relationship unfolds through anonymous letters between Georg Nowack and Amalia Balash. Only there’s a catch: they both work at Maraczek’s! Concurrent with the rendezvous of love, there is an equal amount of comical drama going on with other shop clerks, including the tension-filled relationship between Ilona Ritter and Steven Kodaly. Not to forget about Arpad, a spunky young boy who wants to work at Maraczek’s with the other clerks and his good friend Sipos. 

HTC is an extracurricular activity at Harriton High School involving more than 100 students in grades 9 to 12. In addition to, or instead of, performing on-stage, members have the opportunity to participate behind the scenes in many aspects of theater. We have student-run departments in directing/stage management, stage crew/set design, costumes, sound, lights, props, publicity, hair & makeup, pit orchestra, and choreography. HTC’s tight-knit community sets us apart from being just another extracurricular activity. Students from every social group, background, grade, and interest come together to produce three tremendous shows a year; making memories and forming friendships that will last for years to come.
