The track team had its first meet on Saturday, December 2016 at Lehigh University. The distance medley relay team placed fifth.

Last season, the Rams certainly had strong runners in Shane Smolenski, Jake Harris, and Derek Goss. Coach Dan Hennessy will look to lead the team to a more successful season than previously. This season, the seniors will look to build on their talent and help younger players, like Sam Kartsonis, eventually lead the team.

The team has its next meet on January 6th at Lehigh. Other teams competing include Lower Merion, Penncrest, Wissahickon, Marple Newtown, and most of the Central League. Senior runner Jacob Harris had this to say about the team:

“We have an energized and talented team this season. We look forward to competing in various events and showing the Central League that we play as hard as we train.”

Make sure to check in with the track team and wish them luck when they head to Lehigh on January 6th. They have a lot of potential and have a knowledgeable coach in Dan Hennessy.
