The Class of 2014 Sells Candygrams for Valentine’s Day

The+Class+of+2014+Sells+Candygrams+for+Valentines+Day

With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, Harriton’s class of 2014 held a candygram sale last week to raise money in the spirit of Valentine’s Day. Many students rushed to buy the holiday themed lollipops for their friends, partners, and teachers. During lunch, a student could send a lollipop with a message to anyone in the school for one dollar per candygram. Many students and teachers received multiple candygrams during Advisory this Monday. This fundraiser was one of the many ways that the class of 2014 is raising money for class events, such as their junior and senior proms.

Every lunch from February 4-8, junior students sat outside the cafeteria selling the candy. Cem Atillasoy, a junior who helped sell candygrams, stated that “It’s been a great way to raise money for our class, while making kids feel special on Valentine’s Day.” Candygrams were a great way to show someone you care about them, and even had the potential to be anonymous. If you didn’t get a chance to purchase one this year, make sure you watch out for them again next Valentine’s Day.
