This Thursday at 3:30, four IB seniors will be hosting a charitable dodgeball tournament, the proceeds of which will benefit the student organization, Witness, Inspire, Act. Teams of 10 will battle for pride, and maybe even a prize as they enter the long weekend.

Julia Govberg, Esteban Bermudez, Alex Gervais-Scott, and Jesse Davis have coordinated with both the school and WIA over the past several weeks in order to make this event a reality.

“Every IB student has to coordinate some sort of project,” said Davis. “But we made the unique choice to try to help our fellow students rather than an outside organization. When we heard about WIA’s health and wellness initiative, we knew it was the perfect fit.”

Witness Inspire Act’s focus this year is on health and wellness. Not only will the proceeds of the tournament benefit the organization, but also the tournament itself encourages physical activity, one of the campaign’s main goals.

Anyone interested in supporting this student-run initiative with a last minute entry should see Mr. Imaizumi or one of the students running the tournament as early as possible on Thursday. The cost of each team is $30, all of which goes to WIA.
