2014 Billboard Music Awards

On May 18, 2014, Ludacris hosted the Billboard Music Awards live from Las Vegas. Many famous celebrities were present to perform, host, and win awards. Nobody will ever forget what happened to the perfect Kendall Jenner. Although she spends her entire life in front of a camera, she managed to mess up her lines whiles she was supposed to be presenting the band 5 Seconds of Summer she started to say One Direction. She then proceeded to say, “Guys, I’m the worst reader!”

On the other hand, the fabulous Justin Timberlake won seven out of his eleven nominations, including Top Artist, Male Artist, and Top Billboard 200 Artist for his hit album The 20/20 Experience. Other winners included Imagine Dragons, Robin Thicke, Pharrell Williams, and T.I. Also, Lorde, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, and the famous duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis all received many nominations. Jennifer Lopez became the first woman to win the Icon Award, which recognizes lifetime achievement and an artist’s contribution to popular music.

In addition, Michael Jackson was resurrected as a hologram to perform “Slave to the Rhythm,” an incredible song from his new and second posthumous compilation album, Xscape. All in all, the 2014 Billboard Music Awards were like no other and honored a variety of amazing and talented artists.
